A movie project for Steirischer Herbst

In 2019 Bernd Transberger, an artist in residence during the Steirischer Herbst in Graz, came to us and asked us if we could help him with a movie project.
He was researching the italian architecture collective Superstudio and for his Steirischer Herbst project he wanted to make a small documentary about the collective.

His idea was to take his entire correspondance, in which Adolfo Natalini and Christiano Toraldo di Francia (at the time the last living members of the Collective), told the Superstudio story. The concept was to work with the original pictures and sketches from the Universal Museum Joanneum archives. The story is been told by the "young selves" of the Superstudio members. In which they talk about their legacy, the continuous monument and how they found to Graz during the Trigon69 at the Neue Galerie.
We helped cast the actors and bring together the Film crew, which was non other than Henx Studio, whom we trusted to be up for the task. The Project needed special camera skills, which we knew they had, since the concept was to shoot the entire documentary in one take and to keep the video editing as little as possible.

Shortly after the shooting Christiano Toraldo di Francia sadly passed away in July 2019. Also, Adolofo Natalini, who wanted to come to the documentary’s premiere to Graz, passed in January 2020.
